Kim Tae-Hyung (V) was born on December 30, 1995 in Daegu, South Korea. He is the youngest of three siblings, with an older brother and sister. Tae-Hyung’s family owned a small business and he grew up helping out at the store.
Tae-Hyung received his primary and secondary education in Daegu, and was a good student. He was especially interested in music and began playing the saxophone in middle school. He also participated in various school performances and even won an award for singing at a school competition.
After finishing high school, V decided to pursue his dreams of becoming a musician and enrolled in a performing arts college in Seoul. It was there that he was scouted by a talent agency and eventually became a member of BTS.
