We are asked to select a drive where we lost the partition, so we choose the external drive. Then we find that all BitLocker partitions we have created on this drive are listed, including the one we just deleted. Once again, our files on this deleted partition are all recovered successfully.
- Recover data from formatted BitLocker encrypted partitions
Another possible cause of data loss is reformatting. Different from the above situations of data loss, it’s even harder to get files back from a formatted BitLocker encrypted partition, especially you reformat this partition with the Windows built-in program. When a BitLocker encrypted drive is reformatted on Windows Vista, 7, 8, and later, the BitLocker metadata that includes the information of the password and the Recovery key. In this situation, we are unable to unlock BitLocker encrypted drive, nor perform data recovery.
But if fortunately, the disk is reformatted by a third-part partition master, it is highly possible to recover files from the reformatted BitLocker encrypted partition with the help of iBoysoft Data Recovery.
