Earn Money As You Spend With One of the Best Cashback Apps

With our nation’s obsession with shopping it never hurts to think of a viable strategy to manage expenses and save some of the hard-earned money. Smart shoppers know how to use coupons and loyalty programs, find the best deals and, naturally, earn cash back. Keeping track of your spending and earning rewards on your purchases get much easier with Spent, one of the best apps available on the market today that is available for both Android and iOS smartphones.

Manage Your Expenses And Receive Cash Back

In this day and age, we have smartphone apps for virtually everything. But the technology has its drawbacks: sometimes it seems we have too many of them, making it more of a nuisance than something that would make your life easier. That is why apps with multiple functions are more than welcome, and Spent is one of them. Not only is it a great expense management tool, it is also one of the best cashback apps (learn more here).

Using Spent, you can literally swipe all your expenses into Personal and Business folders. A swipe to the left puts an expense into the Personal folder; a swipe to the right sends it into the Business one. You can further break your expenses into categories, such as Groceries, Gas, Subscriptions and anything else you can think of.

Once you link your bank card, it records and saves your every transaction. You can also scan and store receipts for future reference. Thanks to tracking functionality, it gives you visual representation of the structure of your spending by category, so you’ll see where all this money has gone.

However, Spent is much more than that: it is also one of the apps that allow earning cash back on your purchases. On the website it claims to cover about 90% of the U.S. shopping market, including Best Buy, Target, Walmart, Macy’s and many more, making it one of the most interesting apps to consider. They advertise “up to 45% cash back” on online shopping, however, 2-3% are a more realistic expectation.

One of the Best Cashback Apps for Travelers

Flights, hotels, rental cars and dining out is where Spent shines. They partner with 900,000 hotels, 229 airlines and 29 rental car companies enabling you to earn money when purchasing any of these in-app or on their website.

Hotels will earn you up to 6% (did we mention they partner with Booking.com?), rental cars up to 3%. Airlines’ rewards are not explicitly advertised and may vary. If compared with other ticket search engines such as Expedia, Kayak and Orbitz, the airfare quotes from Spent are basically the same.

Finding a restaurant nearby that offers cash back is another great feature of Spent. Using location services, it shows you partner restaurants on a map with all the necessary information and the amount of money you can earn. Usually it is about 10%, but they claim it can go up to 30%. A nice touch if you’re looking for a place to eat while on a business trip or on vacation.

Overall, its functionality and user-friendly interface make it one of the best cashback apps for both business travelers and avid shoppers.
